The magic of the Strade Bianche in Siena returns in 2026, bringing with it the dust of the most iconic gravel sections in world cycling.

An iconic race between effort and unforgettable landscapes

Strade Bianche is more than just a race: it is a test that combines technique, endurance, and a passion for cycling.

The start is on Saturday, March 7, from Siena, along a route that winds through the hills and features that make it unique:

  • Total length: 203 km for the professional race, with around 64 km of gravel sections;
  • Elevation gain: approximately 3,500 meters;
  • Gravel sectors: 14 (11 of which overlap with the women’s race), among the most scenic and challenging in the Crete Senesi.

Each gravel section represents a technical challenge: tight turns, steep climbs, treacherous descents, and uneven surfaces that test balance, power, and concentration.

Gran Fondo Strade Bianche: the challenge for cycling enthusiasts

The Gran Fondo Strade Bianche, starting on Sunday, March 8, confirms its role as a reference event for cycling enthusiasts.

A race that demands strategy, endurance, and athletic preparation, it is an opportunity to test yourself on the same roads made famous by the great champions.

The race offers two routes:

  • Long: 137.7 km with 2,000 meters of elevation and 10 gravel sectors
  • Short: 87 km with 1,350 meters of elevation and 6 gravel sectors.
