The countdown for the long awaited mid-August weekend is almost over as Cetilar Racing is all set to restart the 2019-2020 FIA WEC season in exactly one month.

The first commitment is the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. At the Ardennes’ track the AF Corse- run #47 Dallara LMP2 car shared by Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi, will make its return.

Following the international pandemic that changed all the original programs, not least the 2020 racing calendar, the Belgian round will precede the 24 Hours of Le Mans – the fourth for the all made in Italy squad that finished all the three last edition – moved to the new date of 19/20 September before the last round in Bahrain.

This is the first FIA WEC year for Cetilar Racing, that made its championship debut at Silverstone last September claiming the sixth position of category, before taking the P7 at Fuji and Shanghai, the ninth position in Bahrain and the eight at Lone Star Le Mans early this year at the COTA, Texas, that was the last race following the cancellation of Sebring 1000 Miles scheduled for March.

With three events still to be held, Cetilar Racing’s goal is to continue its effort in the best way possible targeting a good result.

“The race of Spa is very important for all of us, because the WEC family will gather again after a long time”, Roberto Lacorte commented, “We are strongly eager to return to track.”

“We spent a very strange time, that let us to recharge our energy looking forward the last part of the season”, Giorgio Sernagiotto added, “Everything could happen in the last three races, particularly at Le Mans. The late July testing at Monza will be very important for us.”

“I can not wait to make my return at the wheel. Altough it is very difficult to image Spa without public, without the autograph session. That is the bad part of the situation”, Andrea Belicchi explained, “I look forward to complete our first test that will be important for all of us, drivers, team, engineers, to keep confidence again in a such competitive championship”.
