Cetilar Racing in Florida for the 12 Hours of Sebring

The first appearance at the 12 Hours of Sebring for the Cetilar Racing team, which this weekend (18 and 19 March) on the over 6 km long track in Florida will be tackling the second of four events in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup series.
Taking turns behind the wheel of the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 n.47 managed byAF Corse are Roberto LacorteGiorgio Sernagiotto and Antonio Fuoco. The all-Italian team has just completed a 24 Hours of Daytona (with Alessio Rovera as the fourth man) which could easily have produced a much better result than the 14th place in the GTD class, given the excellent overall performance which was inevitably compromised by two scrapes at the start. This is an important anniversary for the US race, which is celebrating its 70th edition. Since 1952, Ferrari has won 12 absolute victories (the last in 1998), and has constantly been a major feature in the various classes. For Lacorte, Sernagiotto and Fuoco, this is their first appearance in the 12 Hours of Sebring. And this weekend Fuoco will be working doubly hard: at the same time, he will be racing in another Ferrari car for AF Corse in the 1000 Miles, fought on the same circuit and valid for the FIA WEC opening rounds.

We will be racing on what is considered the iconic circuit par excellence. The 12 Hours of Sebring is the endurance event that all Americans look forward to for a whole year “, commented Roberto Lacorte. “This race is a real test bench for both the teams and the cars; firstly because of the features of the track, with a lot of bumps and much of the track in concrete. We’re going to Florida very focused and seeking a good result.”

The free sessions will begin on Thursday. The qualifying rounds will be on Friday, and the actual race starts at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday morning local time (3:40 p.m. in Italy), and will be streamed live on the channel Imsa.tv.

Like in Daytona, the Cetilar Racing team will be followed in the States by Radio24, which has planned a whole series of podcasts by Carlo Genta.
